Bridge the Difference, Make a Difference, and Thrive in a Globalized World

Difr Dive + is a first-of-its-kind, research-backed blend of intentionally facilitated synchronous and asynchronous educational programs, all centered around personal development and Global Intercultural Citizenship and designed to allow you to bridge the difference, make a difference, and thrive in a globalized world, whether at home or abroad!

In small and personal cohorts, you will front-load concepts and skills vital for effective Global Intercultural Citizenship through our dynamic and interactive 4-hour workshop. As you also progress through the Intercultural Development Inventory® (IDI®), the AFS Global Competence Certificate, guided mental health activities, and CulturaGo’s culture-specific modules, you will develop cultural awareness and adaptability, will more effectively engage cross-culturally, and will set goals for your ongoing personal development. The program will culminate with a Difr Live Human Story experience, a collaborative cultural dimensions project, and a "What Now?" session. Most importantly, you will implement your growing skills during a 6-week community-based volunteer opportunity, working with a local nonprofit of your choice, finding a placement through our network of partners, or participating in a group virtual internship through Kambia.

You will work in cohorts of like-minded peers eager to become Difference-Makers within their own lives and set forth a positive ripple throughout the world.

Difr Dive + Educators

Designed especially for teachers, professors, and other education professionals, Difr Dive + Educators utilizes the same first-of-its-kind, research-backed blend of intentionally facilitated synchronous and asynchronous educational programs centered around personal development and Global Intercultural Citizenship to equip you to foster that same Global Intercultural Citizenship in your students. You will complete the Educator version of the AFS Global Competence Certificate and work in cohorts of like-minded educators eager to help their students become Difference-Makers within their own lives and set forth a positive ripple throughout the world.
